03What it does
It does the work. And it remembers.
Whoever you write it to be, these skills come built in. It acts on your computer in plain sight, and keeps its memory as Markdown files on your own disk.
01Computer usemacOS Beta
Not just chat — it gets things done.
It sees the screen, opens apps, reads and writes files, runs commands — and you can watch every step.

Screen content seen during computer use is sent to the model you choose.

Images and videoJust ask and it generates. It checks the model with you only when a run would cost over $0.5.
Three permission levelsRead-only, workspace or full access, set per bot. Even with full access, recursive deletes ask first.
Slash commands/model, /reset and more work in the app and in your chat apps.
Spending at a glanceBalance, low-balance alerts and daily usage live in the app, and each bot can get its own spending cap.
One routeThe white-label build points at a single relay address: no international/mainland pair and no automatic switching.
Pictures and files in chat appsSend it pictures and files; vision models can read them, and it can send files back.
04Models & pricing
One key.Every model.
The brain is your call too: each bot can run a different model, and you can swap any time.
Unit prices and charges follow the live pricing in the zdzui console — most models here are priced by time of day, so a static unit price would not hold, and no figures are listed here.

The app costs nothing; you only pay for model usage.

01How is it different from Grok Bot, OpenAI dots or Claude Duet?
They are the same kind of always-on personal AI agent: it works for you in the background and checks in when a decision is yours. The difference: dazuibot is an open-source fork of AnyModelBot (MIT) and runs on your own computer or server. It works with GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and more; the app is free and models are billed per use, with no single vendor's subscription. The README on GitHub has a full comparison table. Grok Bot, dots and Claude Duet are products of xAI, OpenAI and Anthropic respectively; dazuibot is not affiliated with them.
02What's the difference between the six characters?
Only their names and looks. None of them has a fixed job. The avatar just helps you tell your bots apart at a glance. You choose the name, persona, model and workspace, and every bot can chat, do work on your computer and remember things. The app's templates are only a starting point: every word can be changed, or you can start from scratch.
03Is my data uploaded to your servers?
Chats, memory, files and keys are stored on your device. Model requests go through zdzui to the provider you choose; log retention follows zdzui's “Data retention” doc. Screen content seen during computer use is sent to the chosen model.
04Does it work offline?
No. Models come from zdzui; local models aren't supported.
05Can I use it on my phone?
There's no standalone app yet; chat with it in Slack, Telegram or Discord.
06Can one chat account talk to several bots?
Yes. Add the account once in Settings › Connections and every bot shares it. Each service can have several accounts, each with an alias. A default bot answers new chats; send /bot and a name once to switch, and that chat stays with the new bot. Send /bot to see your bots.
07Can bots work with my Notion?
Yes, once you authorize it. Add accounts in Settings › Connections, as many as you like, then ask any bot about them by number or alias. Bots can read and edit pages but can't delete them, and read-only bots can only read.
08Where do I get an API key?
Sign up with your email at zdzui.xyz and verify it. Once signed in, open Keys, create a token and copy it (it is shown only once). On the first-launch welcome screen choose Paste API key. The app validates it and lists your models. Top-ups are on the site's billing page; usage and keys live in the console. There is no in-app account sign-in.
09Is computer use safe?
Limited to 24 whitelisted actions; runs automatically by default, switchable to ask before UI-changing actions; screen content goes to the model; try it on a dedicated machine or account first.
10How do I verify a download?
Each download lists a SHA-256; use Get-FileHash on Windows, shasum -a 256 on macOS/Linux. GitHub releases also include a SHA256SUMS file you can check in one go with sha256sum -c.
11Is the bot still there after I close the window?
Closing the window keeps it in the tray (optional launch at login); it's offline when the computer is off or asleep; use Docker for always-on.
12Do you collect telemetry?
What we can confirm: telemetry in the computer-use driver (Cua) is turned off and magpie's auto-update is disabled. See the data-flow diagram for how model requests travel. The code is MIT-licensed — read it yourself.
Bring your first bot online.
Name it, write a few lines of persona and it's ready to work. The app is free — pay only for what you use.
